I realized the other day that I'm very bad at telling people that I love Jesus. I've been feeling for awhile that 2009 was going to be an exciting, full-of-growth year for me so ::raises glass:: here's to 2009 and growing in a deeper relationship with Christ and being able to shout at the top of a mountain...a mountain with a million people on it as well...that I love the Lord. Salud!
:)
ps-figuring that only francine and alan read this, dear fran & alan-- please pass on any verses, chapters, books (bible or otherwise) that you think i could benefit from/love. I hella know that I can't do this by myself and I'm gonna need accountability. and support. is that ok to ask that via the internet? hahaha love you both, sincerely, jessica.

Because I still believe in new year's resolutions!
(even though I have an incredibly difficult time sticking to my resolutions, that won't stop me from trying!)
In 2009, I will...
1. have a two-day holding limit on grudges. no more hate hate hate in 2008.
2. drink more water. i actually have recently started craving water! my mom's going to be very proud if i stick to this goal. she loves telling stories about how when i was little i never drank enough water and therefore never had to pee and she would get super stressed out about my possible dehydration. haha
3. eat out only twice a week--once for dinner once for lunch. i can't wait to start saving money and not fat!
4. spend more time with God. no more neglectfullness.
hmmm...right now i can't think of any more BUT stay tuned!
happy 2009! it's time for '09! (not as good as "it's great in '08"...)

in other news... :(
America Day!
I love election day. And here's why:
1. people are excited and anxious--it makes for great work-day conversation
2. you get a sticker!
3. i think one of the coolest rights we have is to vote
4. political campaigning is OVER. phew.
5. i get to wear red, white and blue. it's like 4th of july in the fall!
i think it will be fun watching the results tonight. i'm tired of hater-ish campaign talk (i'm guilty of doing some of it myself) and i'm tired of not knowing what the next four years in america and in ohio are going to be like (issues 5, 14-19 and 75!)
my wonderful co-worker julie and i were talking about hater-ish talk. she said, and i loved this, "aren't we as christians supposed to demonstrate mercy and speak love and not slander?" (paraphased:))
Anyway, my point is: GO U-S-A!
